 Formulated organic / inorganic coagulant

DeCAL 9369 is a specifically developed coagulant for the treatment of sewage and organic industrial effluents. It is a specially formulated combination of inorganic and organic coagulants supplied in liquid form. DeCAL 9369 is used to coagulate and flocculate raw sewage prior to primary sedimentation processes. DeCAL 9369 can be used to enhance BOD and suspended solids removal in both municipal and industrial effluent treatment systems. Dosage requirements will depend on the strength of the sewage or effluent being treated. DeCAL 9369 can be used to assist secondary sedimentation processes and dissolved air flotation.

2. Application and Storage: DeCAL 9369 can be metered directly into the sewage flow neat or diluted with water up to a rate of 10:1. Additional dilution will not impair the products performance but some deposition in pipe lines may occur. The final addition strength will be dependent on the application point available on plant. Dosing into the flume prior to a siphon or screw lift pumps has proved an effective method of applying DeCAL 9369. Storage of the product should avoid extremes of temperatures. Under good storage conditions the product will remain stable for at least six months. Solutions of DeCAL 9369 should not be kept for excessive periods or some precipitation of product may occur.

3. Corrosive Properties: DeCAL 9369 contains ferric sulphate and as such is corrosive to mild steel, copper and its alloys. Polyethylene, polypropylene and rubberised surfaces as well as certain grades of stainless steel are recommended. Please consult the Safety Data Sheet for the product.

4. Spillages:  of DeCAL 9369 should be contained and disposed of in accordance with local regulations. Discharge of neat product or solutions of product to watercourses should be avoided as DeCAL 9369 will adversely affect the mucous membranes of fish gills. DeCAL 9369 will leave brown stains on clothing, skin and other areas contaminated with product.

5. Packaging: DeCAL 9369 is supplied in 225kg nett weight plastic drums. A smaller 60kg packaging is also available.
