Anionic Flocculant
DeCAL 9370 is a low molecular weight anionic polyacrylamide flocculant supplied as a free flowing granular powder. It is completely soluble in water producing solutions of high viscosity. DeCAL 9370 is of very high anionic charge.
1. Typical Properties.
- Appearance Off-white granular powder
- pH of 1% solution 5.5
- Bulk density 0.8g/ccm
- Particle size 85% <425microns
2. Application: Recommended solution concentrates as below:
- Stock Solution 0.25 – 0.5% max
- Feed Solution 0.025 – 0.1% max
3. Storage:
- Recommended storage periods for solid up to 2 years.
- Recommended storage period for stock solution 1 – 2 days
- Storage of the dry product and solutions for longer than recommended periods may be acceptable under correct conditions but could result in some loss of product efficiency.
- Storage of the solids should be in a cool dry place and conditions of high temperature and high humidity should be avoided. Under such conditions the hydroscopic nature of the product may result in excessive moisture up-take and result in caking.
- Packages should be kept well sealed when not in use.
4. Corrosive Properties: Corrosion towards most standard materials of construction is very low. Stainless steel, glass fibre, polyethylene, polypropylene and rubberised surfaces are recommended as ideal. In some cases aluminium and galvanised surfaces can be adversely affected.
5. Packaging: DeCAL 9370 is supplied in 25Kg nett weight, plastic bags in palletised shrink wrapped units
6. Health & Safety: Spillages of DeCAL 9370 should be contained and disposed of in accordance with local regulations. Solutions of DeCAL 9370 are slippery. DeCAL 9370 exhibits a very low order of oral toxicity and does not present any abnormal problems in its handling or general use.
